Day
1:
We’ll be arriving to Posada de
la Laguna
at Colonia Carlos Pellegrini for lunch.
Alter
lunch we will visit the
Interpretation
Center
and walk along some trails where the monkeys can be observed. After these easy
trail walk we can walk around town to see some of the most typical birds of the
area wich will give us a good introduction to Ibera’s Birds, some of these
are: Chimango Caracara, Picu Ground Dove, Blue
crowned Parakeet, Monk Parakeet, Smooth-billed Ani, Guira Cuckoo, Stripped
Cuckoo Gilded Sapphire, Field Flicker, Golden-breasted Woodpecker,
White-barred Piculet Scrimitar-billed Woodcreeper, Narrow-billed Woodcreeper,
White Monjita, Pied –water Tyrant, Cattle Tyrant, Great Kiskadee, Fork Tayled
Flycatcher, Vermillon Flycatcher, Sooty Tyrannulet, Masked Gnatcatcher, Hepatic
Tanager, Read-crested Cardinall, Yellow-billed Cardinal, Epaulet Oriole and some
other species. Once we finish our walk will go back to Posada de la Laguna for
Brekfast. An early dinner will be
served.
Day
2:
Will wake up early in the morning and Start our day with a great breakfast at
Posada de
la Laguna
, after this we’ll make a boat tripa long the most importan lagoon of the
area, The Ibera Lagoon, where will find Caimans, Deers, capibaras and many bird
Such as:
Anhinga,
Rufescent Tiger Heron, Great Egret, Southern Screamer, Brazilian Duck, Turkey
Vulture, Great Black Hawk, Black-collared Hawk, Giant-Wood Rail, Rufous-sided
Crake, Yellow-billed
Cardinal,
Common and Purple Gallinules, Wattled Jacana, Yellow-billed Cardinal, Ringed
Kingfisher, Amazon Kingfisher and Green Kingfisher. These are just some of the
many birds that live around the Lagoon. After the exciting boat trip will go
back to Posada de
la Laguna
for Lunch. During the afternoon great fotografic and observation oportunities
will be find at the Posadas gardens where 120
species have been registered among the list we can find: Red-crested cardinal,
Gilded Sapphire, Blue-tufted Starthroat, Ruddy Ground-Dove, Spot-winged Pigeon,
Southern-crested Caracara, Southern Lapwing, Long-winged Harrier, Masked
Gnatcatcher, Scarlet-headed Blackbird, Golden Winged Cacique, Solitary Black
Cacique, Rufous-browed Peppershirke, Yellow-browed Tyrant, White-tipped
Dove. Según la temporada podemos ver
la White Monjita
o Vermilion Flycatcher.
Day
3:
During the morning our eyes will be searching for the Strange Tailed Tyrant, a
very special bird that lives in the grasslands of the area and wich sadly is
included in the threatened bird list. So as to find it we’ll take the road to
Mercedes where many copules of this birds have been registererd. But the Strange
Tailed Tyrant wont be the only bird many others such as: Maguari Stork, Savana
Hawk, Road-side Hawk, Chimango Caracara, Spectacled Tyrant, Shiny Cowbird, Great
Pampa-Finch y el Fork-tailed Flycatcher can be also observed.
After
lunch at the Posada we’ll visit the Camba Trapo where one of the most
wonderfulls birds of the area lives, the Yabiru. But if this is not enough for
you we can also chek out for the Yellow Cardinal a very threatened bird wich
lives in the area. And in this spectacular place we’ll see sunset while we
observe many other birds.

4:
After breakfast, chef out. In case your transfer goes to
Posadas
birds such as: Streaner-tailed Tyrant, Saffron-cpowled Blackbird y Black and
White Monjita could be observed in the way

After a complete breakfast at the
Posada we’ll take another boat tour to the Rio Miriñay area. This is a very
particular placer where marshes and forest come close toghether. Some of the
birds we usually observe in this trip are: Tigre Heron, Javiru, Least Bittern,
Wren-like Rushbird, Warbling Doradito, Crested Doradito,. After Lunch at the
Posada we can spend the afternoon ckeking out once again any of the areas that
you like, so as to find some birds that maybe were not seen the days before or
you like to see them once again.

5: After breakfast, chef out. In case your transfer goes
